My name is Isha Paasse and I am a self taught impressionist artist who has been practicing art for 7 years. Through my art I bring a sense of peace to self, if my art can bring joy to others then that truly is a bonus.
I always loved being creative but thought I was never good enough. I scribbled all the time. I could not stop the temptation of drawing on old tins, wood, foggy window panes, leave alone paper, accordingly took some 50 years to put brush to canvas.I am a country girl and live on a hobby farm in the western districts of Victoria. Some of the best conversations I have are with my animals. My vast garden is a great inspiration and is depicted in much of my work.
I thrive in the natural world away from the stress of everyday life, hence my ideas and inspiration within my art.
Everything I draw and paint primarily comes from my mind, imagination in my art is paramount to me. I use all forms of mediums, acrylic, ink, charcoal, pencil, pastel, oil pastels and wax crayons, the list is endless. Strongly pigmented acrylic is my primary medium.
I am mainly an impressionist painter of all botanical themes. Although I paint I also love to doodle/zentangle. I dabble in charcoal, fine ink pens and generally will be highly experimental.
